September Newsletter
Hello Barn Family,
It’s that time again...another barn newsletter! As always, we’ll be covering important topics such as upcoming events, show registration dates, barn happenings, and the ongoing mystery of how Rhonda has kept all of her babies alive. Grab your coffee, check your calendar, and prepare for another month of horse-related chaos.
We are truly proud of everyone and their performance at shows this month, but would specifically like to highlight:
Delilah- for navigating her unplanned dismount in the show ring with grace and grit.
Harper, Haarlow and Lucille for all placing fourth and above during their first year competing with MVEA.
Harper for completing her first cross country round.
Riley, Catherine and Hailey for all placing first and second at WDAA.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bella on the loss of Ronan. Losing a horse means losing a partner, a friend, and a special part of everyday life. We’re already missing Ronan’s sweet face and goofy personality. Our barn family is thinking of you, feeling your heartbreak, and sending love and support.
Our Halloween fun show and party are returning this year. Look forward to a costume contest, games, food, and fun. More information coming soon.
As we look ahead, we'd like to focus on something that will help our barn continue to grow- organization. One of the things that makes our barn so special is its laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. It's a place where people can ask questions, learn at their own pace, and enjoy spending time together. We don't want to lose that. At the same time, keeping that relaxed environment running smoothly takes teamwork. By paying a little more attention to organization (putting equipment away, keeping shared spaces tidy, communicating clearly, and following routines), we can make daily life at the farm easier for everyone. A little extra effort from each of us will help the barn function even better while preserving the friendly, supportive community that makes it feel like home.

Someone will always be available to answer questions. We’re here to help.
We will do our best to have lessons start on time.
If you are using our tack, it will be available for you in front of the wash stalls.
If the student or parent is not able to tack on their own, we will have an instructor or helper assist.
Your responsibilities:
Your lesson begins at the time you have scheduled. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to properly groom and tack. That means your horse is brushed free of obvious dirt under areas where tack will sit, hooves are picked out, and fly spray is applied if needed.
Untack your horse, cold hose or blanket if needed.
Put away your belongings. Return your horse to his/her stall or paddock.
Remove belongings and manure from the wash stall after every use.
If you need to change your riding time or day, or are running late, communicate clearly.
